WaterRower Vintage Rowing Machine S4 BLE Oak

WATERROWER Vintage Oak S4 BLE Water Rowing Machine

The WATERROWER Vintage Oak S4 BLE is a rowing machine built for people who expect both training of the highest quality and timeless design. Its solid oak frame pairs that look with an advanced WaterFlywheel water resistance system that faithfully reproduces the natural rowing movement. Every detail has been worked out to deliver a smooth, quiet and remarkably engaging full-body workout. Rowing activates up to 84% of the body’s muscles with every stroke, among them the legs, back, abdomen, arms and stabilising muscles.

Resistance on a WaterRower is naturally self-regulating. This means that the intensity of the workout depends directly on the power and speed of your stroke, exactly as it does out on the water. The harder and faster you pull, the more resistance the WaterFlywheel creates. It is simple physics, and it keeps the workout smooth, realistic and intuitive at every level of fitness. The water resistance system also needs no complicated servicing and no regular lubrication of mechanisms; routine care comes down to changing the water periodically and keeping the machine clean.

Refined details and everyday comfort

Vintage Oak S4 BLE rowing machines run on a system of twin rails, along which the ergonomic seat glides on eight bearing-mounted rollers wrapped in abrasion-resistant polyurethane. The result is stable, exceptionally quiet movement even during very intense training.

Adjustable footrests slide up and down, which allows precise adjustment to the user’s height, improving comfort and the efficiency of every stroke, while adjustable straps keep the foot firmly in place. The ergonomic handle is shaped to give a natural grip and spread the load evenly throughout the workout.

The machine is fitted with the S4 monitor with a built-in Bluetooth module, which displays the key training figures in real time. You can follow, among other things, time, distance, workout intensity and strokes per minute. Bluetooth connectivity lets it work with the dedicated WATERROWER Connect app, or with other popular training apps on iOS and Android.

Natural wood, timeless design and training closer to nature

The machines are made in the USA from solid wood sourced from responsibly managed forests, with respect for the environment. Natural wood gives the machine a character of its own and makes it look more like an elegant piece of furniture than a piece of gym equipment. It is designed for daily use and for a place in the home rather than a corner out of sight. The grain of the wood works beautifully with modern living spaces, lofts, home gyms and interiors inspired by nature.

Built-in transport wheels make the ergometer easy to move, so you can train outdoors as well, surrounded by nature and the soothing sound of moving water. WATERROWER water rowing machines look at home not only indoors but also on a terrace, patio or in a garden. After a workout the machine can be stored upright, taking up very little room when it is not in use. WATERROWER machines are designed to sit comfortably alongside your home and your routine, instead of being equipment you have to put away after every session.

The natural properties of wood also help damp vibration while you row, so the workout stays exceptionally smooth, comfortable and free of unpleasant noise even during intense sessions.

An effective full-body workout

Training on a WATERROWER combines cardio, endurance and strength work in a single movement. Every stroke engages the lower body, which generates the power, the core, which stabilises the body, and the upper body, which draws the handle in.

Training regularly helps improve cardiovascular fitness, build muscular strength, raise overall condition and supports fat loss. At high intensity, rowing can burn as much as 1000 calories an hour, while the movement stays gentle on the joints and the spine. That is one of the biggest advantages rowing holds over many other high-intensity activities. And you can row however you like. It works just as well for short, dynamic sessions, easy cardio, interval training and longer endurance workouts.

Natural water movement and training inspired by real rowing

At the heart of the machine sits the patented WaterFlywheel system, which uses water as its source of resistance. Purpose-shaped paddles move the water inside the tank, creating smooth, progressive resistance that mirrors rowing on open water. Unlike conventional ergometers, a WATERROWER never imposes a fixed difficulty level, because you generate the intensity yourself. The movement stays natural and fluid, which noticeably reduces the load on joints, knees and the lower back. It suits beginners and experienced athletes looking for an effective workout alike.

One more thing sets the experience apart: the sound of the moving water. Instead of mechanical noise you hear the natural swish of the spinning water, echoing the rhythm of a real rowing stroke on a lake, which makes the session far more relaxing

WATERROWER Connect

Performance analysis

WaterRower Connect lets you track your training data in detail and in real time. During every session you can watch the figures that matter, such as pace, distance, session time, stroke count and calories burned.

With clear charts and statistics, the app helps you understand your own capability and plan the next sessions properly. It works for people rowing recreationally and for anyone focused on steady, measurable progress.

Saving and workout history

Every session you complete is saved automatically in your WaterRower Connect history. Earlier results stay available, so you can follow progress over time and compare one workout with the next.

Saved data makes it easy to monitor how consistently you train, watch your condition improve and spot the areas that still need work. The history is a practical motivator: it helps you keep the habit and reach the goals you have set.

The WaterRower Connect community

WaterRower Connect is not only a tool for tracking workouts but also a community of users from around the world. You can share progress and achievements, and encourage other members to keep training.

You can compete against other people rowing on WaterRower machines or take on challenges to beat your own records. The social features help keep motivation up and make training more involving and more rewarding.

Support for beginners

Anyone new to the ergometer can use the learning material built into the app. WaterRower Connect helps you master correct rowing technique through practical tips and detailed step-by-step guidance.

The app also explains what the key training figures mean and suggests how to improve them. As a result, beginners build correct technique faster and train more effectively and more safely.

Syncing with fitness apps

The app connects widely with popular fitness platforms and devices. WaterRower Connect can sync your training data with Strava and Apple Health, among others, so all your activity can sit in one place.

It also supports wearables such as the Apple Watch. The watch can send heart rate straight to the app and give you convenient control over selected functions while you row. Pairing extra devices makes the app more comfortable to use and gives a more accurate picture of your activity.

WaterRower Connect Premium

The Premium version of WaterRower Connect was created for users who want even more from their training and a little extra motivation. The subscription unlocks advanced features that support fitness gains, better performance and more variety day to day. It is for people who want to train more deliberately, use extra material and look at their progress in finer detail.
